Modern Residential Infill EIFS and Acrylic Stucco in Edmonton
This project features a modern two-story infill home in an established Edmonton neighborhood, finished with a high-performance Exterior Insulation and Finish System (EIFS). The design uses a light beige acrylic finish paired with bold charcoal accents to create a clean, contemporary vertical aesthetic.
The exterior system consists of layered EIFS components including foam insulation board, reinforced fiberglass mesh, a cementitious basecoat, and a durable acrylic finish. This combination delivers excellent thermal performance, improved energy efficiency, and a seamless crack-resistant exterior suited for Alberta’s demanding climate.
During installation, full scaffolding was used to ensure consistent application across the tall vertical wall sections. A single horizontal reveal joint is integrated at mid-height to break up the massing and align with window placement, adding subtle architectural detail without compromising performance.
The final result is a weather-tight, modern exterior featuring clean lines, strong contrast between light and dark elements, and long-term durability. The foundation is completed with parging, while dark window frames enhance the overall contemporary appearance.
